Punch Drunk Love did nothing for me. I really like Emily Watson, but yuck. I had almost the same reaction to that one that you described for Lost In Translation. I wonder if it's in-theater versus home-rental? I think maybe the slow meandering plotless films are more absorbing to me on the big screen. (I saw LIT at the theater but rented PDL)
