I love Chicago...used to live there years ago. Big city options with nice neighborhoods within. If you do go there I'll post some more information/links. Then, if you're thinking Northwestern then you might not live in the city at all. In the end, a place is just a place, like any other. Take care of yourself and your partner and you'll be fine.
