i looked up the school and am feeling really passionate about wanting to enter it. i have always really wanted to study cognitive linguistics, and the school has a great undergrad/grad cognitive science program that does the sort of work i'm looking to do.
several years ago, when i brought up studying these topics here at my state school, some of my profs looked at me like i was crazy! and here prestigious universities are setting up programs in it.
i have a terrible undergrad record due to mental illness/health issues, but I _must_ find a way to trojan horse my way in.
i'm excited to go. any advice about where to live?
