I had to redo the passport thing this last
year.I hadnt renewed it since my years in Barranquilla, Columbia.
I was with the WHO for three years and I loved
going to Cartagenia with my husband for long
weekends. I always said I would return but now I probably never will.If you go dont forget to see The Panana Canal.
The magnatitude of this human creation is truly
awesome.I had friends who came to see us while we were
there who came down on a cruise boat.I was
able to take some time off and show them all the
wonderful places to see and where to avoid.These days the drug lords are not as descret as
they were back in the 1980s.
Now safety is an issue and never going anywhere without someone with you esp someone who speaks Spanish could really be trouble.Have you considered a cruise? The cruise people are in a buyer market now and they have wonderful packages that dont cost a bundle esp. if youre not terribly picky about your sleeping quarters, you can get a fabulous deal!
(I am told you never spend anytime in your quarters any way except to shower, change clothes and sleep.)
Keep us posted on your efforts for the passport. (Dont worry.. all the pictures on passports always look like they belong hanging in the post office..LOL)syringachalet
