Ever considered that it could be something along the lines of migraine/seizures/panic/bipolar spectrum triggered by light? I have a friend who wears dark glasses all the time because of her panic attacks. It is much less of a problem (no sunglasses IN the house anymore) now that she takes a combo of neurontin and and an AD. She seems to have the combo of panic attacks, "soft" bipolar spectrum symptoms, and migraines.
