Painting walls red

Don't paint your entire living space bright red, it will only jar and agitate you on days when you're not feeling "up".

I have a great red diningroom, everyone loves it.
I painted the base coat tomato-soup red, then tinted some glaze with a dark umber. Brushed it on the wall, then broke up the glaze by patting it with a wad of plastic wrap. Light floor, bright white ceiling, it looks sophisticated.
Ralph Lauren and Benjamin Moore sells this water-
based glaze.
