> you know, in abnormal psych class yesterday i learned that manic people sometimes wear bright colored clothing. (i also had to listen to the "definition" of depression, as if i don't already fully understand THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!)

.........hahaha, that is real irony

>Do you find that you tend to wear colors that match your moods, or go against your moods, or perhaps this is a completely worthless question to ask?

.........I always wear black, except for when I wear burgundy, dark green, or some other colors ---but, mostly black. 8-)

i am really in a good mood today, although it is bad when, by the time you roll out of bed and get a shower, it is already dark outside, you know?

........yeah, or when you have real bad insomnia and start to cry when you see the sun come up. I can relate to both.

>I feel like painting my walls bright red, but i can't, i'm in a dorm room

.........well, ok, here is some unasked for advice...you can buy sheets (or a sheet) and "sheet" your wall (like wallpaper only with ...well, sheets). They make bright red these days (and lots of other colors, including black), and you can get em on sale at low cost, plus easy to change. Would make a nice backdrop for any other art you wanted to put on them too.
