A couple of years ago I quit my job because I was such a mess that it was just agonizing for me to keep going. Also I had the feeling they would have fired me before too long, although that might have been just my usual paranoia.
So I went to work for an agency and I'm hired out by the day or week. I kept thinking that once I got to an office I liked, I would apply for a job there or at least leave them a resume.
Well, during these two years I haven't worked at a single place where I would like to stay. Maybe men are better, women can be just awful...all the bitching and back-stabbing that goes on, the office politics, it's enough to make you shudder.
I'm glad I'm not caught up in it.
Sometimes I think that WE are not the screwed-up
ones, that we can't blend in with the rest or stomach all the cruelties that other people so leisurely hand out. So we start to feel isolated and, well, different than other people. Maybe that's not such a bad thing. Maybe we're special.
