I agree that you should write this book. My mother wrote a book (not published) after my brother was killed, and it visibly helped relieve her of some of the grief, horror and anger that was consuming her. Writing can be very therapeutic
and if your book is published, so much the better.
If you're determined to do a professional job, I would suggest taking a class or reading one of the many good books available on producing polished, quality (publishable)writing, and I would also take up John on his very generous offer. Keep us updated, and good luck.
