Skype and privacy for therapy

Posted by winsome on July 14, 2013, at 8:15:44

Has anyone had a concern about privacy when using Skype for therapy? My therapist has suggested use of Skype for some therapy sessions. I would be doing this at home and worry about being able to talk freely. Our home is not soundproof. If my husband is at home when I Skype, I'm afraid I will need to be careful about what I say--I won't be as free to easily say "anything."

This raises a question for me about the quality of the therapy.

How do others deal with this?
