My therapist rarely says something I really hate more than once. :) He seems to keep a scorecard in his head. "This one didn't go over well. Let me look down the column of similar thoughts."

He says I'm still punishing him for the time he told me I'd have to suck it up.

I did offend him yesterday by implying that the name of one of his favorite books was likely to have his clients walking out of therapy if he mentioned it to them. "Shut Up, Stop Whining, and Get a Life: A Kick-Butt Approach to a Better Life"

Hmmm... I think sometimes he says "my bad" when an apology is really what's called for.
