Art deco right now. All angles. Skyscraper window takes up all of one wall. Long and narrow. Leather sofa and captain's chair one wall. Captain's chair and small table for his neverceasing coffee on the other. Desk and bookshelves on opposite walls closer to the door. Thank heavens the pictures of his wife and daughter now face the desk. His daughter used to face the sofa, and it was hard to talk frankly with a teenager looking on. He was going to hang a piece of artwork of a woman with piercing eyes facing the sofa, but he hasn't done it yet.

Don't like it.

His old office I loved. Same sofa and chairs. Dark wood against sunset pink walls. Soft natural light coming through old poured glass windows. The sheer pinkish curtains gave the light a pinkish glow as well. Rather odd taste in art that is not there in the new office, but gave a glimpse of who he was which is also not there in new office. Safe and warm.
