Time to decorate therapy office--ideas?

Posted by gardenergirl on September 23, 2004, at 22:00:37

Okay, here's your chance to help me create a good therapy environment. I have the use of this office for the year. There is a desk and chair, bookcase, high file cabinet and low credenza type file cabinet, two side chairs and a small table with I think a lamp (that may go with the current occupant). The carpet is kind of a teal blue. The walls are white, but I think(?) there maybe some pink trim somewhere. There are windows across the wall opposite the door, with blinds and a view of campus. She has a gorgeous rug on the floor that I just covet, but it's going with her too. :(

So, if you were coming here and could create the ideal office given what I have and on a budget, what would you do? You can have fantasy, but remember in reality I have to make this work.

I do have a green wrought iron corner baker's rack with a vine pattern on it. I just took it out of a room at home and don't know what to do with it. It has three shelves and I think I could put plants on it.

Essentially, I want it to convey safety and comfort, and maybe say just a little bit about me without being too personal.

Okay do it yourself decorators! Have at it!

Thanks in advance,
gg
