My T has expressed this to me. He says that patients want to be able to show the worst side of themselves and to reveal their deepest and most shameful secrets to their therapists and stil be liked and accepted. Most of the time I think my T does this but I am not always sure. I know that he doesn't like some of the things that I say and do, but I know that overall he does like and accept me. He has told me that he doesn't work with people he doesn't like but it doesn't think it would work.
