I am amazed that your new therapist has this viewpoint. Do you know what kind of therapy she does (CBT, Psychodynamic, Humanistic...)?

I can't imagine a therapist who doesn't understand that leaving another therapist for ANY reason is distressing. I can't imagine a therapist telling a client that their feelings are wrong. Feelings aren't wrong. They just ARE.

Do you have a pdoc who you see about meds? You might talk to them about what your therapist is telling you. It just sounds very strange to me.
