Sadly, what I think of when I think of Dan Quayle are all the things he DIDN'T say that are attributed to him...
He never did say that going to Latin America would make him wish he'd studied harder in Latin class, you know...
Then again, what really comes to mind is his comment that he thought he was "like a young John F. Kennedy." That, my friends, was NOT smart. If nothing else, he was comparing himself to an icon of THE OPPOSING PARTY! Not good thinking, if you ask me. Then again, saying it to Lloyd Bentson made it even more damaging.
{sigh}
Kinda miss him, considering my views of today's Republicans...
