(Not much chance they'll actually end up edible at this point, though: after looking pretty dormant through most of the summer, they suddenly got little yellow flowers on them towards late August, maybe; finally got some little green spheres sometime in early September -- only to explode into a ton of new growth, about a hundred new yellow flowers, and the starts of tiny green spheres about ten days ago... Guess I should have put a calendar where they could see it...)
