The privacy rules really bug me too. You can't get details of anything. I set up a phone account and an internet account linked to it, and made it clear that any of our family were cleared to get details on the phone account. (The kids are better at this than we are.) But I didn't make this clear on the internet account. Same company. So when my wife is wondered why the fees are so high and wanted to ask about which plan we were on the answer was 'Nyet'.
OTOH, at a music festival recently I was struck by the friendliness of so many of the people there. You see someone and talk about the bus line. Later you see each other and it's like old friends meeting up. This was sometimes drug assisted, showing the limits of sobriety.
