Prozac is not supposed to help with irritability. In fact, SSRIs tend to make those sorts of behaviors worse. It stimulates the central nervous system. That's why the FDA warns about increased irritability and mania. Also, the withdrawal from antidepressants includes anxiety and irritability. If you have already tapered off, adding it back in will only prolong the withdrawal. Are you under a doctor's care? You should consult with your doctor before changing from the recommendations for tapering off. Hang in there.
