I've been using magnesium 4 years (500mg 2X). You are right, it does relax the muscles and migraines went from 2 a week to about 1 a month. A bonus - it has definitely helped my IBS. I also take calcium because it seems to have an additive effect with the Mg and helps me sleep at night.Now the bad news, when I've gone off Mg the bad stuff starts reappearing, usually within 2-3 days. Since FMS people are naturally low in Mg I guess it makes sense. And no, it doesn't help my social anxiety. I'm still working on that one.
