Hello! Yes it certainly feels amphetamine-ish for the first hour or so after I take it, which really helps me crunch out some work. I suppose afterwards I could just keep it going with coffee. I've been reading at doses of 60mg+ it also acts as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. I'll talk to my doctor about it and see how much she's willing to boost me up. I know I can handle that much because I've done it on multiple occasions but I kind of need her agreement to be able to do it long-term.
I'm quite sure low doses of seroquel are completely fine with MAOIs. I swear pharamacists will overreact to any *possible* interaction, however unlikely it is. The key is just to take a dose for sleeping. I don't know about seroquel though, I had a few weird experiences with it where it just make me more anxious although maybe those were just abnormal situations. Anyway, thanks for your insight! My depression is much better while on Parnate but I need to figure out a way to take it so that I can go to school and work and get an okay amount of sleep! Aside from the sleep I haven't had many side effects except for the initial anxiety/agitation, which didn't bother me so much, and it also made me nauseous/caused lost of appetite...so I lost a bunch of weight :) I'm okay with that one. Well, I was starting to worry about losing TOO much weight but my appetite seems to be coming back.
