Parnate mechanism, aside from MAOI?

Posted by Astrid on September 20, 2018, at 22:37:52

Hello,

I'm wondering if somebody is aware of the mechanism behind Parnate besides the obvious MAOI mechanism? I find it provides me with a very stimulating and focusing effect for the first 1-2 hours after I take it, and I'm having difficulty with trying to "strategically" dose my prescription such that I can maximize my study time but also wanting to do well at work (I'm in school and work 30+ hours per week). I never experienced this with Nardil, and the effect is short-lasting, which makes me feel like there is something else going on besides the MAOI effects.

Bonus points if you can help me find a way to SLEEP. I'd be ecstatic just to sleep five hours a night at this point. My lifelong buddy, Trazodone, just isn't cutting it anymore. I also refuse to use benzos/z-drugs, after enough struggling on and off with that crap.
