Sounds like it could be pretty helpful. Never tried it myself.
Although if you have addictive tendencies self medicating with Phenibut seems dicey. I just was in a thread over on bluelight with a guy who was abusing it and got up to 32 grams a day! Apparently your tolerance builds very quickly because this escalated over the course of a couple months. And then he quit cold turkey! Just when you think you've heard it all.
So now he's got severe anhedonia and is in a real bind.
