If someone is so motivated as to publicly and persistently promulgate unpopular ideas and disagreeable language, they must be prepared for the consequences of their behaviors. They might become a social outcast or a pariah, even if they are right about everything they believe. Some heroes have to endure ridicule. However, the really smart ones understand this and accept it as a consequence. The really naive ones don't understand why their behaviors garner such anger. Then, there are the trolls.
