yea i googled it, it's in tobacco, i smoke and i've smoked for a long time and i do notice during times if my mood gets in a slump i usally smoke a ciggerette and feel better for about an hour, i don't know if you ccan get it in a pill form, but yea.....nicotine does help depression my mildly acting as a stimulant to the dopamine and mainly acetylcholine.....

don't encourage to smoke at all but nicotine gum, or a vape could deliever nicotine without the bad stuff from tobacco smoking....
