Thanks for the detailed reply. 8mg of buprenorphine is an amount that is used quasi-exclusively in substitution treatment for opioid addiction, hence my question. But if it works for you, great!
I started my buprenorphine trial at 0.2mg and slowly went up, and I still experienced significant side effects. That's why I strongly recommend a low dose at the beginning of a treatment, especially for people without tolerance to opioids of course.
