I think they're different for each person, but I've found a Xanax made me feel high as a kite (which increased my anxiety), Klonopin was okay but made me way too tired, Valium made me sleepy but didn't help much with panic (still had to do breathing exercises), and Ativan eased the panic attack with no side effects. My doc swore they were all the same though (lol), and I know people who say Xanax is the only one that 'works'. Xanax is def. the one that makes me more anxious; I just stay away from it.
