A common side effect of many SSRIs is sedation. It makes sense that a low dose of Dexedrine would counteract this sedation, but you would require a higher dose to produce a true stimulant effect. Ativan is also sedating and would likely counteract some of the alerting properties of Dexedrine.

Of the SSRIs, Effexor (venlafaxine) and Prozac (fluoxetine) are the least sedating/most activating for most people. High dose Zoloft (sertraline) can also be activating.
