I wouldn't take one without calling back and making sure it's ok. If they think they may have to use local anesthetics or anything like that, you want to check possible interactions very closely. Personally, the dentist doesn't bother me (other than that I have a strong gag reflex and choke when they spray water in my mouth), but if you think it will (and I know it is very difficult for some people) then call back and ask if it's ok. I'm sure they've had plenty of people ask before.
