Effexor + desipramine or Cymbalta + desipramine ?

Posted by TriedEveryDrug on December 31, 2007, at 10:59:53

Hi,

I was diagnosed with adult ADD (inattentive-type) 10 years ago.

Desipramine really works for me. Except it makes me anxious, depressed and very angry.

My doc said I could combine effexor and desipramine, but the Epocrates drug checker warns of serious cardiac problems doing this.

I notice that Epocrates' warning for cymbalta and desipramine is less severe, but cymbalta inhibits desipramine metabolism so caution is advised too.

I was wondering if anyone has been on either of these combos?

Thanks. :)
