Yes Marplan is still working very well thankyou! I'm still on 40mg but am keen to try 50mg just to see if its any better. I'll give it a short trial (maybe 2-3 weeks) but if there is no difference then I'll go back to 40mg. No point sticking at 50mg if 40mg does the same job, plus its good to be on the lowest dose possible incase a dose increase is needed in the future.Where did you hear that Nardil AND Marplan increase GABA? I know Nardil does but have searched high & low to see if Marplan has the same effect but have found no such info myself. But I guess its possible as they are both Hydrazine derivatives (unlike Parnate). I already take clonazepam (brand name Rivotril) so assume that the anxiolitic effects come from that.
I do get some daytime sedation but have fixed this with both Vinpocetine & now Acetyl-L Carnitine also. And dont worry about insomnia as this is a short lived side effect which starts at the beginning & goes quickly. Spread your dose out for best results. Doing this I've had virtually NO hypotension at all - no dizziness even when standing from lying down or sitting. Very different compared to Nardil. I'd say Marplan's side effects are minor compared to Nardil's, apart from the anorgasmia.
Thanks for the anorgasmia info!!! I will print out your post & show it to my pdoc. My libido is absolutely fine, I just cant orgasm.
Anyway, best thing I've found Marplan for is lifting & stabilizing my mood & also giving me self esteem & confidence (which I dont get neither from clonazepam, only anxiolytic effects which are still pretty strong). So hold onto you clonazepam!
Thanx again for the anorgasmia info - my pdoc is pretty liberal too so hopefully he'll let me try your suggestions. I bought some Horny Goat Weed hoping it would help but it only gives me increased stamina (so far) & its sedating after a couple of hours. Thats after a full gram standerdised at 20% icariin.
Hope the Marplan works as well for you as it has for me!
