Oddly enough Adderal has no effect on my appetite, not even when I started it. I have also been on the same dosage for a couple of years. I have never abused it by taking more. I wish I could take a small dose in the afternoon for when my energy and concentration starts to disappear, but I daren't ask my pdoc. When I started taking it, my pdoc said that if I started to lose weight he would take me off it. I've recently lost 20 pounds, but only because I have increased my exercise and restricting.
