Oh, I am bipolar type 2. Paxil made me hypomanic, but no other SSRI did (oddly enough).
I've tried lithium several times but I get toxic on it even at low dosages and no one knows why. I also have hypothyroidism and lithium is not a good med when you are already hypothyroid.
I'm complicated. I also have an eating disorder - anorexia. Maybe that's why I can't sleep. I have been restricting heavily.
Thanks for the info on Zoloft ... now I remember the insomnia.
I've been on every med - SSRIs, SNRIs, Wellbutrin, MAOIs, Tricyclics, anti-psychotics, lithium, depakote ... you name it, I've tried it.
I hate my life.
