I don't think there's any difference between pink (true) and other colored grapefruit juice (not juice with added color). A pint of grapefruit juice is a pretty solid amount, that's what I said before -- if you really love grapefruit juice.... Most people drink like 6 oz of the stuff for breakfast.
So there's no wonder that if you are susceptible to induction by grapefruit juice at 3A4, 16 oz is obviously going to "double" your dose of Xanax. What it really is doing is preventing the Xanax from travelling through your liver for an extra half life. You could accomplish the same thing by asking your doctor for more Xanax if you needed it, or stop playing with P450 cytochromes as you're not taking medication as directed them.
