Anyone notice Lamictal as anti-obsessional?

Posted by cgd092 on February 11, 2007, at 17:53:05

I've been on Lamictal for a couple months now and I feel really...normal. It's meant to be a mood stabilizer, but I'm noticing a lack of certain obsessional thoughts. Now, I don't have OCD, but when anxious/depressed, I get ruminative and fixated on a number of topics. I notice that lately, a couple of particularly bothersome ones have pretty much disappeared. It's like having a craving for something suddenly disappear. It's pleasant. I couldn't find anything on the 'net to indicate Lamictal can be an anti-obsessional, but it seems to be working that way for me. Anyone else? Thanks!
