Do you have ADHD?
If you do, the most effective medications are the stimulants. My personal experience is that Focalin XR and Dexedrine Spansules are best for me because they have an extended release and fewest side effects. If you have ADHD and your pdoc won't prescribe the most effective meds you should get a new doctor.
My opinion is that I would prefer to have a more effective medication and treat any side effects, but that's probably just my personality.
