I went to that site and it did indicate that my husband was severely depressed. I keyed in info. based on what I "hear" from my husband all of the time.

No, he doesn't usually go into a "cave". When he is really upset (extremely depressed/anxious), he will, almost obsessively, work on a particular project/hobby .. to (what seems) no end.

Yes, definitely, professional counseling would be important in his whole treatment program, but my husband refuses to see anyone (any more). To me, it appears like he just wants the meds to do all of the work.
