I'm having trouble finding anything that describes an interaction or reports an untoward event when tranylcypromine and diphenhydramine are combined. All that comes up are the manufacturer's warnings.

I've combined these two drugs without incidence. Of course, this is only one person. However, this contraindication is news to me. I'm surprised by it.
