In reply to best augmentation agents to use with Parnate, posted by TylerJ on January 24, 2006, at 19:55:07
ohmigosh exact same history as me, except I just now started parnate a couple months ago. Its great then leaves, great then leaves. We added Lamictal and I had a very very good response to that. That left as well, but it was a llittle bitty dose, like 12.5 mg. Have to titrate Lamictal very slowly if prone to the dreaded rash, so I am just now up to 40 mg parnate and like 37.5 Lamictal. Might be worth a shot. At 100-200 mg Lamictal has AD properties of its own, so it probably can't hurt anyway. See what your doc thinks, if you all try it, let me know how it goes for you.
Also, Pergolide has been shown to be a good augmentation drug for some people. I'll probably try that next if I can't get a consistent response from the parnate/lamictal.
Best of luck. 24 years is a long time...
