Are you sure BCBS won't cover any psychiatrist, or just those guys. I know that particular group is expensive (I just got my bill ouch!) and I should have asked about that.
I've got more up my sleeve...having been depressed for ten years until recently I've become well acquainted with far too many of them! I know a few that definately work with BCBS.
You might want to go to bcbsil.com and log in to see your benefits. My girlfriend has an HMO and must see either a PCP or OB/GYN for a referral prior to working with a psychiatrist.
