Hi,
Oddly enough, SSRI have been shown to repair any damage. There are so many meds we all take on this board that can cause neotoxity and we don't have to abuse them for it to happen. Wellbutrin can cause neurotoxity.
If you are really concerned have some blood tests done and see how your liver and pancreas are functioning. The symptoms you have could be symptoms of depression. Also, get your thyroid checked (simple blood test).
Don't be angry at yourself. Use that energy to focus on getting well and feeling better.
I went through neurotoxity syndrome (worse than neurotoxity) twice as the results of overdoses (suicide attempts). I took 8000 mg of Parnate once and 4200 mg of Effexor. The parnate damaged my pancreas permanently but all cognitive problems were restored (thank God). The last thing I rememeber is my temperature went up to 105 degrees. After the Effexor I had multiple seizures and could not walk or talk for 3 weeks. Luckily everything came back and I actually completed my Phd.
So don't worry about what might be. Get some blood tests done. See a neurologist if you feel you need to. You don't want to fuel your anxiety with anxiety.
