Your doctor makes me furious. I'd love to force feed him the drug, get him on maximum dosage and then withdraw him completely all at once. Then I'd like to hear him say that there's no such thing as withdrawal from SSRIs. Morons like that shouldn't be allowed to practice!
There are things that you can do to alleviate symptoms. Please read suggestions on the board here and on the alternative board. Some of these suggestions won't cost you much and are for things available over the counter.
