I really don't know. I don't think I have ever taken any.

The itching occurs without the appearance of any discoloration or lesion. I don't think it is an allergic reaction. I'll stick with it for now. I really, really want to find something that works. Maybe the itching will disappear over time. Although it seems to happen only after I take a hot shower, it becomes quite intense and lasts for 1/2 - 1 hour. This exact same thing has happened to me in the past when I first started taking tricyclics. Weird.
