Question for everyone: I'm very concerned about the sedating effect of Xanax if I were to take it during the day. My doctor acknowledged a potential for sedation, but says people respond differently to Xanax just as they do to other types of medication used to treat these disorders. My big concern is that I write all day, and if the cognitive processes are significantly dulled, I won't be able to get my work done. Not that I'm any genius, but I do need to function. Should I be concerned about Xanax?
