> What do you consider to be the best type of magnesium to take for muscle tension Linkage? I know there are different types oxide, citrate, glycinate.

This best type of magnesium is "magnesium taurate." I only know of two manufactures of it; one is "douglas labs," the other is "cardiovascular research." Of the types you listed, magnesium oxide is the only one you want to avoid since it is virtually useless. See this site for everything you ever wanted to know about magnesium and much more: http://www.coldcure.com/html/dep.html

As for medication, the first thing I would try is Buspar (buspirone.) It is an anti-anxiety agent that is often prescribed to augment SSRI's in patients experiencing bruxism (teeth-grinding.) This medication cleared up a similar problem I was having and has absolutely no addiction/dependency potential so it's an easy med to get. Let us know if you decide to try it out.

Hope this helps,

scott
