Have you talked to your regular doctor about this? maybe you could see a specialist--physical therapy sounds like it might prove to be very helpful! maybe you just need to re-train the muscles? I'd also look into massage therapy--I had very tense jaw muscles last year (well, still do!), but was helped by a massage therapist.
Best,

> Five years ago I went through severe withdrawals from clonazepam, most withdrawal symptoms like insomnia have faded but I am left with severe muscle tension in my face. I havent been on any kind of meds in 5 years.I have a very good diet, no caffeine. Can anyone suggest something I can do to get rid of this tension. It is very difficult to socialize with people because at times my face is so tight I am unable to smile.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks God bless
