Elle thanks for the information.

My first dealing with this derealization came after a panic attack. I didn't know what was going on, but the next day I felt fine. I didn't have another attack for several years. When I did have another panic attack again it was quick, disturbing, but the next day I felt fine.

After the birth of my first child I started feeling spacey, but I wasn't having any panic attacks. It seems more intense outdoors in the sunlight. That soon subsided. Once again I went several more years without any panic attacks until one day....I started having them every day for months. This time the derealization lasted longer an I also had depression to contend with.

That went on for about a year as that feeling gradually subsided along with the panic attacks. I didn't have any problems again for several more years. This time I was placed on Librax which is for my IBS and that helped me tremendously!!!

My latest episode occurred after an adverse reaction to a medication last year August. Like before it is taking awhile for the derealization to subside. This recent occurrance seem more intense than in prior years due to a variety of things including the trial error of various ADs and benzos.

I wish that I could remember how long it took and what if anything I did differently to alleviate this feeling...completely. Thank God that it is subsiding.

Presently I'm taking Wellbutrin XL, Librax an a variety of vitamins and supplements which are helping.

I just wanted to make sure that I'm doing all that I could possible do to speed up this process. I know that this will completely subside as it has in prior year... I just want it to be now :)

Thanks for listening!

> I suffer from derealization (aka depersonalization). I totally understand what your going through. How long has it been going on with you? I have been having episodes ever since I can remember (about age 8 or 9). They can be really scary sometimes huh. I usually have them when I'm taking a bath or driving...odd combination. Basically, I'll be driving and look down at my arms and it feels like I'm really aware or like I'm observing someone elses arms... I'm sure you know what the feeling is. I'm taking a cocktail of drugs for other stuff, so I not sure what has made them less frequent. Here is a list of what I'm on:
> Paxil, Geodon, Ativan, Klonopin
> Like I said, I don't know which one is working for it, but I haven't had it in a while. Here is a website that I find very helpful to understand it: http://www.panicanxiety.com/depersonalization_derealization.htm
