rjk,

Hopefully some of this problem will be resolved when Lilley releases Duloxatin (sp). According to reports Duloxatin has a 50% - 50% effect. This would indicate to me the drug causes an equal effect on norep. and serotonin receptors.....beginning with the first dose.

I contacted Lilley as recently as 2 weeks ago. They say their "target date" for release is 2003. All phase testing on the drug has been completed, the only delay at this point is the FDA/Gestapo.

I would have to agree with you, the combination of Effexor and Remeron means you have to wade through too much serotonin effect to get to the norep. (if infact that is what you are seeking).
There are others here able to give a much better review of the chemistry than I.

You might want to go out on the net and do a search on Duloxatin (check if I have the spelling correct) then come back to pbabble and do a search.

Best wishes,

Geezer
