How Safe Are Antidepressants?

Antidepressants, or rather combining Effexor and Remeron, have wrecked my life. My brain is now so sensitive to any form of chemical that I lierally cannot even take paracetamol.
I am sure that many people have had success with combining drugs, but I just wish that psychiatrists took a bit more of a responsible attitude about diagnosing peoples condition, particularly when it comes to combining medication.
I recently read a comment that someone had written about the way psychiatrists dole out drugs,"when you have a hammer in your hand, everything looks like a nail". How true that is!
