Wow! It is a small world. I know most people don't like to post bad experiences with a particular pdoc (me included), but when I read something like this I'm thankful to that person for saving me from a bad experience. It seems that if you go to a "renowned" specialist, and pay the big bucks because of course your insurance isn't going to cover it, you should expect a positive, helping experience. I told my 100 miles away pdoc that I have given up trying to find a local one and just accept the drive. I hope you have found someone good. Take care, Judy
